Michael Sobel is a commercial real estate lawyer whose practice includes the representation of developers, owners, operators, managers, and tenants in a broad range of transactions. He concentrates on the representation of landlords and tenants in retail, office, and mixed-use commercial leasing transactions, and buyers and sellers in the acquisition and sale of office and retail properties.

Michael represents major local and national developers, owner/operators, a national chain fitness center, national hotel groups, high-end design companies, local business owners, foreign corporations with national real estate portfolios, and financial institutions with nationwide retail locations.

Michael began his career at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP. He then worked at Rockwood Realty and Modell’s Sporting Goods before joining Wilk Auslander in 2007.

  • A national chain fitness center in the leasing of its fitness centers throughout the U.S.
  • A New York-based financial institution in the leasing of all its retail bank locations throughout the U.S.
  • A national developer, owner, and operator of urban retail projects of approximately 1.5 million square feet throughout the Northeast Corridor in the leasing of its entire portfolio.
  • A hotel owner and management company, with a 15-hotel portfolio in the New York metropolitan area, in the leasing of all its retail operations and arrangement of its hotel contracts.
  • A national high-end design company in the leasing of its New York headquarters and design centers nationwide.
  • A U.S. subsidiary of an international trading corporation in connection with the acquisition and disposition of its national real estate portfolio.
  • A regional developer in the ground leasing and development of its properties and subleasing to a national drugstore chain.
