Jeff Samuels has, for more than 30 years, represented clients in diverse, complex real estate transactions. As a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Jeff’s practice focuses on commercial real estate leasing on behalf of landlords, tenants, and other interested parties on transactions in and around New York City and throughout the United States.  His clients include owners, developers, retailers, tenants, banks, brokers, lenders, principals, and investors involved in transactions covering a broad spectrum of real estate activities.

Prior to joining Wilk Auslander LLP, Jeff was a partner with the real estate boutique firm Carb, Luria, Cook & Kufeld LLP. Following graduation from Fordham University Law School, he was a real estate associate with Reid & Priest (predecessor to Thelen LLP).

Representative Matters

  • Serves as the primary leasing lawyer for a New York City developer/landlord controlling more than 10,000,000 square feet of office and retail space in Manhattan.
  • Established and oversees a leasing program for cutting edge biotechnology laboratory facilities in several Midtown Manhattan buildings.
  • Recently represented NYC office building owners on the following lease transactions:
    • 260,000 square feet to an international book seller for U.S. headquarters.
    • 265,000 square feet to a top law firm.
    • 200,000 square feet to a global advertising agency.
  • Assisted a major national retail clothing company in the leasing of approximately 350,000 square feet of office space in Midtown Manhattan for its global headquarters.
  • Represents New York and Connecticut based banks on branch bank leasing programs.
  • Assisted in the relocation of a European country's permanent mission to the United Nations to new office space in Midtown Manhattan.
  • Acts as the retail leasing lawyer for a New York City-based high-rise residential developer/landlord.
  • Represents developer/landlord of retail shopping mall space in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
