Caitlyn Ford represents domestic and international public and privately held companies, lending institutions and financial services firms, in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and structuring, blue sky law compliance, secured and unsecured financing transactions, contract matters, issuance of equity, recapitalization, and joint ventures. She confers with clients and opposing counsel to draft and negotiate documents at all stages of deals, from the letter of intent or term sheet to the purchase agreement, including disclosure schedules, ancillary agreements and post-closing deliverables.
A particular focus of her work involves corporate governance documents and consulting agreements. Caitlyn also assists clients with routine corporate compliance such as Securities and Exchange Commission filings, annual reports, audit response letters and Corporate Transparency Act filings, as well as drafting internal documents such as written consents, assignment and assumption agreements, grants, and promissory notes.
Caitlyn’s experience spans numerous industries and sectors including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, telecommunications, solar power, commercial manufacturing, and healthcare.
Caitlyn graduated from Rutgers Law School in Newark where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and an editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter Journal. She was awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence Award upon graduation. Prior to joining Wilk Auslander, Caitlyn worked at a firm in upstate New York, focusing her practice on corporate law and restructuring.
