In the article, Scott discusses the cybersecurity needs, risks and legal challenges companies face as they begin to re-open after pandemic closures. Among other things, Scott addresses the interplay between (1) federal and state privacy legislation such as HIPAA and the California Consumer Privacy Act with (2) gubernatorial executive orders imposing various new workplace requirements for the return-to-the-office transition such as temperature sensors, employee logs, and records, employee questionnaires.
